Buck controller, output voltage reference settable with voltage, I2C or SPI

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS40056, LM25117

Hi,

We are looking for a Buck Controller device where the ouput voltage reference is settable by a voltage, I2C or SPI interface.
The device needs to meet the following specifications:

- Input voltage up to 40V
- Output voltage range: ~3...24V
- Output power: >=50W
- Synchronous buck topology if possible
- Robust controller
- External power switch

We see LM25117 or TPS40056 as possible devices.
Does the tracking work as a voltage set value or is it only intended for the softstart?

Any other device recommendations?

Thanks and best regards,
Patrick
