WEBENCH® Tools/TPS61099: TPS61099 design Parameters

Hallo,

In datasheet, it is mentioned that current limit is 800mA but in the webench the max. output current of TPS61099 is 200mA.

What's the max. output current of TPS61099 for Vout = 3V? My application requires max. 700mA peak current, so which boost converter will be suitable?

The peak current of the inductance is 800mA, not the output current. May I know what's the input voltage range? 

If you expect larger current capability parts, I'll recommend TPS61023.

Input voltage range: min. 2.3V & max. 3.6V

Required Output voltage range: 3V to 5V (adjustable o/p voltage)

max. converter output current for my application: 700mA

Is there any suitable converter with above parameters & regulated output mode (down mode & not pass mode) if Vin > Vout?

TPS61023 does not have regulated output if Vin > Vout.

Yes, TPS61023 won't regulate the Vout if Vin is higher than it. We have TPS61020, which only has the down mode, but I afraid it can't supply 700mA in whole voltage range. There is a typical maximum output current figure in datasheet. You could take it for reference.

I think a buck-boost converter is more suitable for your application. Like TPS63802. It can regulate Vout no matter Vin is higher or lower. And the efficiency is high, solution size is small meantime.
