TPS2663: Pin input and output vs layout reference file

Hello,

In the datasheet of TPS2663 the Input and output of the IC goes through pin no. 1 ,2 and 17,18 respectively. But the reference layout file of TI shows the connections of Input and Output through pin no. 1,2,24 and 17,18,19 respectively  whereas in the datasheet PIN 19 and Pin 24 is no connection PIN.

Can you please confirm on the above discrepancy whether to use both the NC pins for Input and Output connections?

    Hi Jumar,

    PIN 19 and Pin 24 are NC in VQFN package but we have used them in layout to get wider traces in order to minimize the PCB trace impedance. I suggest to follow datasheet recommendation to achieve better performance unless you have any challenge in doing so in your layout.
