Hi Sir,

 

Here are some question for BQ25703 & BQ25713 need your help

  1. As know, IMVP9 is for Intel platform, If use other solution, we don’t need to support it right?
  2. What is Pass through mode? Does it means Vin = Vout and no efficiency loss?

    Hi, Ian,

    1) That is right. IMVP is an Intel spec. For other solutions, VAP is optional. 

    2) When the system is in the sleep mode or light load condition, the charger can be operated in the pass through mode to improve the light load efficiency. In PTM, the Buck and Boost high side FETs are both turned on, while the Buck and Boost low side FETs are both turned off. The input power is directly passed through the charger to the system. The switching losses of MOSFETs and the inductor core loss are saved.
