Hi together,

1. I wondering why my bqStudio (Version 1.3.86) have not any tab "golden image"? I have completed an learning cycle with multiple cells and the update status is 0x06.

2. There are any other datasheets that discribes the creating of a golden image (currently i'm using SLUA903) especially for the BQ40Z60?

    See my comments below.

    [Andy] I can confirm the golden image doesn't exist.

    [Andy] I don't see a particular app note for bq40z60. However, I would suggest you take a look at this one as well. In addition, 

    I would suggest you do a charge-relax-discharge cycle so that the UpdateStatus can be 0E.

    Thx for the reply.

    1. Ok I have seen some screenshots of bqstudio that have had a tab "golden image", that was confusing me.

        Or does it appear when the learning cycle was successful? In my case it would be at update status 0x0E.

    2. ok the datasheet almost have the same information. My question is where is the tab for exporting the "golden image"? Currently I'm using the "Firmware" tab and "Read Srec from device" is that one the correct step for export it?

    3.1 Should I start a learning cycle for the charge-relax-discharge cycle (because it starts every time with discharging)?

    3.2 Are there options to start with charging mode in "learning cycle"?

    3.3 Or is it enough if I use the bits set register given in the datasheet SLUA903 for the charge-relax-discharge cycle?

    See my comments below.

    1. Where did you see these screenshots?   

    2. Yes. The srec file you generate will be your golden image.

    3. Below is what we mentioned in the app note to make sure the Update Status goes to 0E.  

    If an Update Status of 0E is not obtained, the device can be charged to full, relaxed for 2 hours and then discharged to empty, at which point it should be 0E.
