LM3281: Why should I use a buck converter when I can use an LDO to power my WIFI Module and circuit?

Part Number: LM3281

Hi,

I have a WIFI module on-board a processor baseboard. This module is the only 3.3V device on the board and I didnt want to use a dedicated buck circutiry for it since that will increase expenses.

The average current draw is around 200mA and its not a battery operated deviice (meaning that effciecny is not a concern) and the system is well ventilated . Is there any other reason why I should consider using a buck converter for RF WIFI modules with integrated PA?

Regards,

Tony
