TLV62585: discharge function

Hi Team,

discharge function is base on the Enable pin, reght? nothing to do with UVLO?

left picture i think is correct, but the picture on right is correct? because we found that there was a step by step drop.

1. If application circuit remove feed-forward cap.(22pF) , can it still work? or affect converter stability?

2. If application circuit PG pin tie to GND , can i do this?

3. can we let TLV62585 pin 6 tie to output ? can it still work?

Hi Tommy,

The discharge function is turned ON if the EN pin is LOW and vice versa, this can be seen in the Functional Block Diagram on page 7 of the TLV62585 datasheet and in Section 7.4.1 on page 8 in the same datasheet.

The benefits of including the feed-forward capacitor are a decreased output ripple in PSM (Power Save Mode) and an improved load transient response. Not including the feed-forward capacitor should not cause instability issues, but this has to be tested for the particular application.
PG can be tied to GND or just left to float if not used
Pins 5 and 6, labeled as NC (no connection) should be both either floating or connected to AGND or to VOUT. Connecting only one of these pins to GND and the other to VOUT will cause the device not to function.

if pin5 floating and pin6 to connect Vout, can be work?

Hi,

Yes, connecting one NC pin to VOUT and the other left floating should not create any issue.
