TPS27081A: TPS27081 Load Switch Leakage Voltage Issue on ON/OFF pin

Hi Team,

We have used TPS27081A load switch in our design & we are facing the following issues;

1) Leakage voltage of 3V on pin 5 (ON/OFF) when Vin is 3.3V which goes back to my module & force it to unidentified state.

2) Irrespective of giving any input to this pin 5 (made R40 DNP) we also get output on pin 2,3 (VOUT).

Below is the snapshot of my schematic. Can you please help us out here.

Hi Shubham,

Welcome to E2E!

Let me make sure I understand both problems correctly:

1. With no signal coming from the LED_PWM you measure 3V on pin 5 of the device when 3.3V is applied at VIN correct?

- When you see 3V on pin 5 is R41 populated?

2. With R40 depopulated the device is turning on, conducting VCC_3V3 to the output, without a signal being applied to Pin 5 correct?

- During this measurement is R41 populated?

If R41 is not populated then pin 5 will be left floating if there's no signal coming from LED_PWM. I would recommend populating R41 to ground pin 5 and remeasure to see if the device exhibits the same behavior.

Hi Andy,

In both the cases R41 is not mounted on board.
