LM5118: LM5118 UVLO pins issue

Hi,

I am designing a battery charger and I am taking LM5170EVM-BIDIR as my reference. I am using LM5118MH/NOPB to get 10V to LM5170. LM5118MH/NOPB is working as a buck boost.

I am using the same schematic diagram (with parts) in LM5170EVM-BIDIR board's LM5118MH/NOPB section.

I dont understand why the UVLO pin goes high and low as mention in the above link even i followed the same schematic.

PCB is a 4 layer board.

What can I do to make it work?

Kasun,

What is the purpose of inductors between the PGND and the AGND pin? Theses should just be connected to the each other on the EP of the LM5118. There is not reason to have the inductors between the pins.

Please try connecting these pins together.
