BQ24075T: BQ24075T

Part Number: BQ24075T

Dear Sir,

I have a project need charge Li-ion battery, the Li-ion battery capacity is 2400mAh

I select use BQ24075T to charge it, and my settings are :

1.Fast charge current is 1.5A, the R(ISET)=604 ohm (1.47A).

2. Input current is 1.5A, the R(ILIM)=1K07 ohm (1.495A).

3. EN2=HIGH, EN1=LOW.

But I have some questions :

1. Is it OK about set fast charge 1.625 hours, R(TMR)= 13K ohm?

2. If Input current lower than charge current of set, The charge current will be follow the input current? (OUT pin is no-load situation)

3. Above question 2 condition, the R(TMR) require modify?

Thank you.

  • Hello,

    1) The safety timer is a backup system that should not be triggered under normal circumstances. As such, there should be a buffer tie between expected charge time and safety timer duration. Also the minimum TMR resistor is 18k ohms.

    2) Yes the charge current will be reduced by the VINDPM loop if the input can't supply enough.

    3) YOu can set R_TMR to what you want as long as it is between 18k and 72k ohms
