Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ24295, BQ24195
Hi there,
We have recently decided to change our battery charging IC to a TI one for a handheld computer we are making. The recommendation was either the BQ24195 or BQ24295. Not sure which would be more suitable, but our requirements are below:
- device should charge quickly (< 2 hours) when connected to USB DC charger - we have a 2000mAH battery
- device should charge at max possible rate when connected to USB host
- device must be safe for consumer use
- existing fuel gauge IC must continue work (BQ27441)
- charger must be able to report charge status to ATtiny1616 (BQ24195 has I2C + INT pins)
I have made a first pass at the schematic using the BQ24295 datasheet avm datasheet and need some help with it (it no doubt contains errors).
