TPS77615-EP: Start-up time

Hi Team,

We received a query from customer asking for the start-up time of 1.5V version of the device. The datasheet show only the startup time for 3.3V (figure 19) version. Is the 1.5V and 3.3V versions have the same start-up time?

    Hi Maynard, 

    At the same condition, the startup time for the lower voltage options should be comparable or slightly faster than the higher output option. Does the application have any constraint on the startup time?

    Thank you for the information and apologies for the late response.

    The customer application has a power-up time constraint which is need for to demonstrate compliance.  

    Do have a value for such parameter? It is possible that we can provide this to our customer?

    Hi Maynard, 

    Unfortunately, all the data available has already been posted in the datasheet. This device is in a very unique 20 pin package, and there is no EVM available for us to run any bench check. If your customers are looking for maximum startup timing, I would suggest using 3X the typical values found on the datasheet which is 3X 600us = 1.8ms. Since this startup time is not a datasheet specification, and I would suggest performing validation at the customers' end to make sure they have allowed enough margin in their sequence design.
