Hi team,

My customer requires PMIC for below power supply requirement.

- Vin = 5V+/- 0.2V

- 1.2V : 310mA max

- 1.8V: 227mA max

- 2.8V: 40mA max

- Ta= 95degC

Is there any concern to apply TPS65000-Q1 with below cnfiguration?

- VINDCDC = 5V, VDCDC=1.2V

- VINLDO1 = 5V, VLDO1=1.8V

- VINLDO2 = 5V, VLDO2 = 2.8V

From Power dissipation point of view, I expect 0.904W.

Hi,

The main concern is efficiency since there is a lot of power dissipated in the 5 V => 1.8 V LDO.

Can you please share some more information regarding the application?

Is this an automotive camera application?
If so, does the camera have Power Over Coax?

Since the 1.2 V and 1.8 V rails both require substantial currents, the TPS650330-Q1 may be a better fit, especially if this is camera is Power Over Coax. 1.8 V can then be supplied by a buck converter to significantly improve efficiency.

- Is this an automotive camera application? --> Yes, this is automotive camera application.

- If so, does the camera have Power Over Coax? --> Yes, PoC will be applied.

Hi,

In this case the TPS650330-Q1 is likely the more appropriate PMIC. Please have the customer request access to the device documentation for early evaluation, assuming they have an NDA in place with TI. If not, this device will RTM next month, at which point more documents will be publicly available.
