BQ24130: Placing main IC on bottom and connect AGND and PGND using 0 ohm Resistor

Part Number: BQ24130

Hi Team,

I would like to get your comment on this layout design of the customer using BQ24130 by placing it on the bottom layer and also connecting AGND and PGND (Named RTN in the image) using a 0 Ohm resistor.

They use a 0 Ohm resistor because in case of EMI issues we can mount a small ferrite for better noise rejection. What do you think about it?

He uses Layer 3 as AGND and PGND plane and Layer 2 for the Power plane (PVCC, VREF).

If you want to review other layers including the schematic, I can send it through email.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks,

Jonathan
