BQ24072T: Schematic review

Part Number: BQ24072T

Please review the customer's schematic.

- 1 cell of Li-Ion 3.7V (battery with PCM)

- Charge current : MAX 1.5A

  • Hi,

Here's what I've gathered from the schematic:

    • IN has required input capacitor.
    • TS set for disable using voltage divider with 20% ratio
    • /PGOOD floating
    • /CHG (I assume) is to be controlled by external signal
    • /CE pulled low to enable charge
    • ILIM configured with 1.07k resistor. This results in 1.495A input current limit
    • ISET configured with 681 Ohm resistor. This results in 1.3A charge current
    • OUT has no visible bypass capacitors on the schematic. We require a 4.7uF to 47uF capacitor from OUT to VSS. Please ensure that there is a bypass capacitor
    • BAT has bypass capacitor within required range
    • EN2 will be pulled to a high voltage rail when battery is present
    • TD will be pulled to a high voltage rail when battery is present
    • TMR is pulled to VSS to disable safety timers

Let me know if there are further questions aside from what I've highlighted. Outside of that issue, the schematic looks good.
