TPS562231: Power Management EMI/ EMC Check

Hi Dsa, 

TPS562231 couldn't pass EMI test, right? 

TPS562231 schematic look well. would you like to share layout and SW waveform to do more analysis? 

Please plot SW waveform without bandwidth limit. i would like to see if SW has ring and the the frequency of ring.

Hi Edwin,

Please find the layout. For the waveform we are awaiting results from the lab, as soon as we have it we will share it with you, But from the graph they were able to mention that the emission was in the range of 200Mhz - 300Mhz.

Layout looks no big problem. 

Please plot TPS62135 and TPS562231 Switching waveform to confirm which part cause EMI noise. then we can focus on that part to debug.

did you test only one part to see which part cause EMI noise?

Hi,

We tested the whole board that includes both the IC's. How exactly can we pin point that which IC is faulty?

Does TI perform any radiated emissions and immunity testing on the IC's before shipping it to the distributor, If yes can we have access to the report or standards against which the IC's are tested? 

Just curious, If we convert this PCB design from 2-Layer to 4-Layer will it reduce the radiated emissions?

Please find the waveforms as attached in the zip folder with output voltage mentioned in each folder.

Also there is a parameter txt file for each measurement as to the configuration used by us to measure the waveform.

In 5Vout folder, there is also similar waveform. which signal?
