BQ24075T: difference between BQ24075 & BQ24075T

Part Number: BQ24075T
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ24075,

Hi Team,

customer is wondering the difference between BQ24075 and BQ24075T and if we have any next gen solution based on these two parts for keyboard & mouse application?

Thanks!

Patty

  • Hi Patty,

The difference between the BQ24075 and the BQ24075T is the method of monitoring the battery voltage through the TS pin.

The BQ24075 uses a current based TS system that uses a current source out of the TS pin. With an NTC at the TS pin, the voltage at the TS pin will be used by the device to determine the temperature and set the appropriate charge based on the threshold. You can find more information on this in Section 9.3.6 Battery Pack Temperature Monitoring in the BQ24075 datasheet

The BQ24075T uses a voltage based TS system that uses a voltage divider that utilizes the input voltage to provide the voltage instead of the current source. As above, the votlage of TS will be used by the device to determine if the battery temperature is within the appropriate temperature range.

You can find more information on this in Section 9.3.6 Battery Pack Temperature Monitoring BQ24075T datasheet
