BQ24295: BQ24295 Failure

Hi Team,

We've received a report from a customer about BQ24295 failure. According to the customer, they have a device which uses a 5000mAh battery and a 3A USB charger adapter has been used to charge the battery through BQ24295. The IC is connected to a microcontroller through I2C. All the registers are configured properly for the IC to work as required. They are observing IC failure many times and when replaced with a new one, the device works fine.

Also, during failure, sometimes the IC detects when a battery is connected (discharge mode) but could not detect when the USB is also connected (charge mode). What could be the cause of the failure.

What is the failure behavior? What are your test conditions such as VBUS (voltage at VBUS pin), IVBUS, VBAT (voltage at BAT pin), IBAT, VSYS, ISYS? Could you please provide all register values of the charger?
