TPS55340-EP: Residual Voltage when disable

Part Number: TPS55340-EP

Hi Mr./Mrs.,

We use TPS55340-EP as a 6V source (VIN=3.3V) to other regulators. But when we try to disable TPS55340-EP, there's still a 3.05V residual voltage at the output so that we can't turn off the loading regulators. Is it possible to remove the diode between inductor and Vout (It seems the path of  residual voltage)?

Thanks

  • Hello Erin,

You are absolutely correct, the path is from VIN through the inductor and the diode to the output. The only way to disable this path is something like an additional switch on the input or output side.

    You cannot remove the diode.
