LP87561-Q1: Looking for a 1mV ripple solution, for 3.3V to 0.94V / 10A

Hi Expert

I am looking for 1mV output ripple solution, for 3.3V to 0.94V / 10A.

LP875761 looks good, but its Vout is fixed at 1V.

LP87561 seems to be the closest one, but still it needs more optimization on L/C to try.

Do you have some recommendations?

Hello,

LP87561 would be a good option. Output capacitors should be selected so that 1mV ripple is achieved. Inductor should be kept at 470nH since the converter/control loop is designed for that value.

LP875610-Q1 is the customer configurable version. You can see the configuration guide on how to set the output voltage etc through I2C bus: https://www.ti.com/lit/ug/snvu590/snvu590.pdf

For LP87561, datasheet spec Vout ripple at 3mV. I believe this is done with 470nH. So how the 1mV can be achieved? Is optimize Cout the only way?

Hello Rocky,

Yes you would have to increase output capacitance to reduce the output ripple. You can either simulate or calculate the needed capacitance to get desired ripple level.
