Hi,

Due to the global shortage of semiconductors we now have to replace our DCDC regulator. We will not get the regulator used till now (not a TI regulator) in time. Since I have used TI regulators for many previous projects, I want to ask you for a TI alternative. Availability is very important as we will need 50-100k units, maybe more for 2021.

What we need:

Adjustable Step-down/Buck DCDC converter

Input:

12V

Output:

adjustable from 1.35 to 5V

Output current:

minimum 1A, preferably 1.5-2A

Temp: -40 - 125 deg C

There are lots of alternative parts .

TPS562202/7: 4.5V-17Vin ,2A in SOT563, ECO/FCCM

TPS562201/8: 4.5V-17Vin ,2A in SOT236, ECO/FCCM

TPS562211 : 4.2V-18Vin ,2A in SOT583, ECO/FCCM +PG/SS selectable

TPS562210/9A: 4.5V-17Vin ,2A in SOT8, ECO/FCCM ,with PG+SS

And we also have 3A version of above parts.

Hi,

Some of these parts are not available at all. Like TPS562211 which is only available as samples. TPS562201 is also not available somewhere.

How about LMR12015/LMR12020 as an alternative regulator for us? This regulator seems to be more available from distributors and TI?
