TPS62743: TPS62743 power select different from the EVM.

Hello,

Interested in 1.8V for a low power battery design but I'm a bit confused.

If I look at the datasheet for the TPS62743 and examine table 1 I see that I can select 1.8V by setting the pins to Vsel (2, 1, 0) = (0 1 0).

But if I look at the documentation for the associated EVM I get a different answer. According to section 2.1 if I select Vsel(2, 1, 0) to (0 1 0) I'll get out 2.8V.

I'm assuming this is a typo but I'd like to clear it up before I buy the EVM.

Hi Jason,

Yes, the EVM documentation has a typo in that third row--it should be 1.8Vout.

As well, would either a load switch or Vin switch be useful in your application? TPS62746 and TPS62748 contain these and give 1.8Vout.

Glad you can use the load switch. If you need a boost as well, please take a look at TPS62770.

We also have TPS62808, if you need something smaller or with more output current.
