TPS2372: DEN pin resistor selection

Hi Tom,

The datasheet shows that connect a 24.9k ohm resistor from DEN to VDD.

But we asked you before, and I suggest we can connect a 27.4k ohm resistor from DEN to VDD.

Could you kindly explain the reason we should modify it?
Because the sifod test show Rdet, Rdet_final, Rdet_at_Vmin and Rdet_at_Vmax are fail.

I think it is because this modification cause test fail.

Hi Cage,

The DET resistor should be adjusted based on the bridge you use. If your design uses a hybrid FET/diode bridge then I recommend the 27.4k detection resistor; otherwise, for full FET bridge or full diode bridge, a 24.9k ohm resistor is okay.

Hi Cage,
The logic circuit of the FET will also pull some current as well. However, this is a predictable current that we've characterized over temperature. Therefore, we can now adjust the detection resistor to still pass detection over temperature while having hybrid bridge (higher efficiency) applications.
