TPS2544: behavior when the Wake On USB

Hi,

My customer has a question about Wake on USB. According to the page 20 of datasheet, The specific CTL pin changes are shown as below.

1. 111 (CDP/SDP2) to 011 (DCP-Auto)
2. 010 (SDP1) to 011 (DCP-Auto)

Does it means the TPS2544 keeps CDP or SDP1/2 without DCP Auto when the Wake-up device is connected and transition to S3(4/5) during S0?

Hello Kazuto,

You are correct. The TPS2544 will stay in CDP/SDP1/SDP2 and override the CTL pins that are trying to put the device in DCP-Auto. This will keep the data lines connected so that the connected device can wake the system from S3 (sleeping state) into S0 (working state).
