TDA4VM: Regarding OSPI flash on tda4vm

The below diagram having the OSPI flash highlightened

OSPI flash is dedicated for MCU Domain?
Does Flash Driver is required to execute the program as XIP?
Can we use the same OSPI flash to store the persistant data?The highlightened

Please give answers to the above questions

  • 1) The OSPI interface is part of the MCU domain.  But cores from the Main domain can write to or read from the flash connected to OSPI.

    2) Yes, we recommend you use TI's provided flash drivers.  They do offer XIP support.

    3) Yes, flash memories such as the one on the EVM store persistent data.
