DRA821U: Yocto: machine conf file for DRA821U?

Hi,

I am using meta-ti(zeus branch) in my own Yocto distro. I am aiming to build images for DRA821U device. Is j7-evm.conf appropriate for DRA821U?

Hi Raxesh,

For DRA821, please use j7200-evm.conf

Hi Karthik,

As I mentioned already, I am using zeus branch which does not have j7200-evm.conf but same is present in dunfell. Does it mean that I HAVE TO migrate to dunfell branch for supporting DRA821U device?

Ok, I missed that.

DRA821U did not exist at the time of zeus and it was only added in dunfell timeframe. Therefore you have to migrate to dunfell or you can backport it yourself. But note that there are dependencies that you will have to take care of.

Recommendation will be start on dunfell.

Noted. I did generate a build with MACHINE=j7-evm, would it not work for DRA821U because the conf has J7200 listed?

Raxesh,

This is not a tested configuration. I don't know if this will work or not.

You can try it and if it doesn't work please use the recommendation above.
