If it's related to enabling RGMII5, you can do that from the pin mux tool.
one of our s/w apps can also guide you on it.
Thanks for your reply.
Please have a look at this: https://e2e.ti.com/support/interface-group/interface/f/interface-forum/1050046/dp83tg720r-q1-how-to-use-dp83tg720r-q1-which-is-connected-to-rgmii5-of-tda4vm
We use RGMII5 of TDA4VM to connect to DP83TG720R, but we can not use DP83TG720R now.
We want to use DP83TG720R, can you tell us how.
Thanks.
Thanks for your reply.
At first, we should use pin mux tool to make the pin used as RGMII5 mode, right?
Then, we should modify the code of SDK 8.0. How to mofiy the code?
At last, we need to do a test. How to test RGMII5? How to test DP83TG720R?
Thanks.
Thanks for your reply.
We have read these links and done what they say, but our board still can't ping successfully with PC using a converter box.
This link is the same problem from us.
We copy our reply here.
MDIO communication between TDA4 and PHY(DP83TG720R) is OK now, TDA4 can read PHY registers. But there may be a problem with RGMII5 communication or something else, TDA4 can not "ping" successfully with PC using a converter box.
We don't know if there is a problem with PIN MUX setting or the PHY driver code. Maybe there is something wrong with PIN MUX setting, because the PINs of RGMII5 are used as QSGMII function before, I don't know if we have changed them correctly.
