AM3356: Data Transmission issue over PRU1

Part Number: AM3356

We are using the PRU-ICSS module for implementing the HSR-PRP module in our application.

We have 2 PHYs connected to the two PRUs.

PRU0:

We do not have any issues here.

We are able to do a ping to our target, and get a response.

PRU1:

We can see that the reception is happening and the incoming packets are seen at the receive buffer.

Also we can see the packets at the transmit buffer of our network stack. But this data is not going out on the Physical lines.

We are able to see the MII1_TXCLK and the MII1_TXEN is HIGH.

But the data lines are always low.

It looks like the PRU is holding/blocking the data which is supposed to be sent on the physical lines.

  • Hello Venkatesh,

    1) Please confirm what version of the software is running on the AM335x ARM core. Note that AM335x Linux SDK 6.3 is the latest TI software release to support PRU HSR/PRP. AM335x Linux SDK 7.3 onward support generic PRU Ethernet, but not HSR/PRP.

    2) Is this a TI EVM or a custom board? If this is a custom board, are there any differences in the hardware design between the two PRU Ethernet ports?

    3) Are you able to get a link up on PRU1?

    Regards,

    Nick
