Hello,
I want to clarify that I can use the EPWM module in the AM6412 to control 2 x 4-Pin PWM Fans , for thermal management use.
There is no reference to FAN speed control using PWM , in the TRM or Datasheet.
I plan to control Speed of the FAN (PWM_OUT) and read FAN speed (PWM_IN)
Thanks
Alex
hello Alex,
Thank you for the query.
If you are looking at the availability of the interfaces, cinse you are familiar with the connections it would work best to use the sysconfig tool to verify.
The sysconfig is a simple tool with few steps required to verify the required functionality and interface connections.

Hello,
Thanks for the reply.
As far as the pin muxing availability , I have already used the Sysconfig.
Although I believe there is no problem controlling these 4 pin PWM FANS , I wanted to clarify this because I have found no reference for this use (only for motor control)
Thanks
Alex
Hello Alex,
Thank you for the inputs.
In the TRM or the datasheet, we do not specially reference to an application.
The EPWM is a standardized IP shared across multiple family of devices.
Some of the C2000 or the MCUs could be describing the application that you are considering.

Hello Alex,
FYI, although not the same, please refer below thread that is discussing controlling multiple PWM channels.
Please look for similar threads.
