PROCESSOR-SDK-J721S2: [SDK 08_05_00_08][Linux][A core] About ringacc booting error

Part Number: PROCESSOR-SDK-J721S2

I found the following errors when I run Linux 08_05_00_08 SDK in evm board:

1. Line 255: [ 0.610825] k3-ringacc 2b800000.ringacc: Failed to get MSI domain
    Line 256: [ 0.617118] k3-ringacc 3c000000.ringacc: Failed to get MSI domain

2. Line 280: [ 0.759948] k3-ringacc 2b800000.ringacc: Failed to get MSI domain
    Line 281: [ 0.766311] k3-ringacc 3c000000.ringacc: Failed to get MSI domain

3. Line 318: [ 2.121257] k3-ringacc 2b800000.ringacc: Ring Accelerator probed rings:286, gp-rings[96,20] sci-dev-id:272
    Line 319: [ 2.131144] k3-ringacc 2b800000.ringacc: dma-ring-reset-quirk: disabled
    Line 320: [ 2.137904] k3-ringacc 2b800000.ringacc: RA Proxy rev. 66349100, num_proxies:64
    Line 321: [ 2.146780] k3-ringacc 3c000000.ringacc: Ring Accelerator probed rings:1024, gp-rings[878,128] sci-dev-id:259
    Line 322: [ 2.156940] k3-ringacc 3c000000.ringacc: dma-ring-reset-quirk: disabled
    Line 323: [ 2.163699] k3-ringacc 3c000000.ringacc: RA Proxy rev. 66349100, num_proxies:64

So I have a few questions about this phenomenon:

1. Why do logs No.1 and No.2 fail ?

2. Why is ringacc's driver initialized three times?

    These are not errors but notifications that MSI domain was not available yet.

     if (!dev->msi_domain) {
                    dev_err(dev, "Failed to get MSI domain\n");
                    return -EPROBE_DEFER;
            }

    Probe deferring is a standard way for Linux to drivers to wait for a dependent module to be functinal.
    Here we are waiting for the TI-SCI module.

    From the logs that you shared:

    [    0.759948] k3-ringacc 2b800000.ringacc: Failed to get MSI domain
    [    0.766311] k3-ringacc 3c000000.ringacc: Failed to get MSI domain
    [    0.775398] ti-sci 44083000.system-controller: ABI: 3.1 (firmware rev 0x0008 '8.5.2--v08.05.02 (Chill Capybar')

    After the above line you will not see the errors.

    In fact the in the latest SDK 8.6 those errors have been deprecated to debug messages:

     if (!dev->msi_domain) {
                    dev_dbg(dev, "Failed to get MSI domain\n");
                    return -EPROBE_DEFER;
            }

    2. Why is ringacc's driver initialized three times?

    For the very same reason mentioned above. The dependent ti-sci module was not ready so the probe was deferred twice and by the third time the dependencies in
    the probe orders are met and it succeeds. So in summary its only initialized once but the first two attempts are not initialized as the dependency is not met and the probe function is deferred.
