AM5706: Can use SW_B0, LDO0 or LDO1 of PMIC (LP873220) for VPP 1.8V ?

Part Number: AM5706
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LP873220

Hi,

The customer is considering to apply Secure boot of AM5706 on their product.

For programming OTP eFuses, TLV70718 is recommended In the Table 5-15. below in the datasheet. Is this part mandatory ? Can they use 1.8V from SW_B0, LDO0 or 1 of PMIC (LP873220) ?

Thanks and regards,
Hideaki

  • The TLV70718 is not mandatory, customer can use any regulator they prefer that meets the requirements.  Note during normal operation, no VPP voltage should be applied - but only enabled when actively programming the eFuses.  Recommended is low noise LDO to ensure voltage is stable and clean.
