Hi Team,
Here we are using AM6254 in our OSM module
Here we need to use 4 PWM pins can you suggest which pins we can use for PWM.

Hello Meet Modia,
Thank you for the Query.
Please refer below section of the data sheet.

We have an FAE that lists the key collaterals including the data sheet that you could refer.

Hello Sreenivasa,
Thank you for the suggestions.
We tried to use two PWM pins from the list and rest all are used for alternate functions like I2C, SPI, eMMc, UART, Audio so seems cannot use from there more.
But still, we need other two pins for PWM signals.
1) CPU has ECAP (APWM) pins. Can we use APWM pins for PWM Output?
2) One more question is if pin type shows input type, then also, we can use it as PWM output?
Thanks,
Brijesh K
Hello Brijesh,
Thank you for the additional query.

Could you please add some additional details on the pins you are referring.

Please refer below section of the TRM.

This is feasible but i am not sure on the available support.
You may have to perform some tests to confirm the suitability.
We have an FAQ with links to the key collaterals that could be referenced

Hi Sreenivasa,
Could you please add some additional details on the pins you are referring.
As you have suggested EPWM pins of CPU in your first response. if you see type of the pin shown in the table is input so can these pins generate PWM output signals because they are inputs?

This is feasible but i am not sure on the available support.
Can you explain in detail what do you mean by the available support?
Thanks,
Brijesh K
Hello Brijesh,
Thank you for the inputs.
The inputs are trip and sync signals. These are not PWM output pins and have specific functions.
This is feasible but i am not sure on the available support. Can you explain in detail what do you mean by the available support?
The IP support the implementation.
As far as i know, we do not have any implementation examples or test data that could be shared.

Sreenivasa
