DRA821U: Errata i2361 Boot: SPI and xSPI BOOTMODE Pin Mapping changes for SR2.0

If I look at the latest TRM (January 2021), it still lists the SR1.0 boot mode pin assignments. I'm working with a customer that just wants to confirm that the correct SR2.0 boot mode for primary boot mode SPI (not xSPI) is:

  • 0 - MCU_BOOTMODE_6
  • 0 - BOOTMODE_0 (Primary Boot Mode B Pin)
  • 1 - MCU_BOOTMODE_5
  • 1 - MCU_BOOTMODE_4
  • 0 - MCU_BOOTMODE_3

Can I get a simple confirmation that we have this correct?

    Hi Stuart,

    You can refer to this errata document to view changes from SR1.0 to SR2.0. On page 38, you can see the SPI boot mode pin mapping changes for SR2.0 as shown in the image below. Therefore, for primary boot mode SPI for SR2.0 you will want the following:

    • 0 - MCU_BOOTMODE[6]
    • 1 - BOOTMODE[0]
    • 1 - MCU_BOOTMODE[5]
    • 1 - MCU_BOOTMODE[4]
    • 0 - MCU_BOOTMODE[3]
