[FAQ] AM3352: LCD display may flicker by using LCD controller

Part Number: AM3352
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DS92LV2412, DS92LV2411,

Hi,

The AM3352 and LCD are not directly connected, but are configured as AM3352 → LCD serialiser(DS92LV2411) → LCD deserialiser(DS92LV2412) → LCD. The flickering frequency increases when receiving data from the PC via USB0 on the AM3352, the LCD deserialiser LOCK sometimes drops and we believe this needs to be corrected, there seems to be a low frequency anomaly in the LCD serialiser CLKIN input cycle.

Please let us check the following.

Q1. The PLL frequency is set to 192 MHz, could the LCD controller's PLL frequency be the cause of the flickering?

Q2. 0.01 µF in the immediate vicinity of the VDDS_PLL_CORE_LCD pin. Is the value of this bypass capacitor appropriate?

Q3. Any advice other than Q1 and Q2.

If you need the complete circuit diagram, please contact us via private message.

Thanks,
