AM3357: Profibus error happens with 32bits timer count interval

Hi,

My customer released Profibus slave product using AM3357.
One of their end customers reported a communication error happens periodically.
According to their investigation, the error happens 49 days interval.

Example:
Machine# 1st error happened 2nd error happened Time difference in second.
#1 28/6/2023 10:13:40 17/8/2023 03:16:55 4,294,995
#2 28/6/2023 09:51:10 17/8/2023 02:54:12 4,294,982
#3 14/9/2023 12:05:29 3/11/2023 05:08:17 4,294,968

The time difference seems to be aliened with 32bits counter value (0xFFFF:FFFF = 4,294,967,295) in millisecond.
Were there any similar issues reported before?

The software used in the product are below.
TMG Stack : version 1.1
ISDK : version 1.1.0.4

I will assign this to our industrial communication protocol expert lead. However failures after 49 days is going to be a challenge to assess debug, even though you seem to have narrowed it down to 32 bit timer?

Questions for your customer

1) You seem to mention that only one of their end customer is reporting this, not others. How many customers and do we know if this end customer uses the product differentlly or just ahead of others in terms of product deployment/testing

2) Is it same hardware/software for all customers

3) How many uinits showing this issue (your post says 3 ) , or do you think all machines will exhibit this failure?

Here are answers to your questions.
1) Total number of the product shipped is ~400 units since 2013. And only this customer reported the issue.
2) Yes.
3) In the reported system, there are four units connected to the same DP master. All four units are showing the issue.

The customer is also contacting TMG, but so far no reply.
Could you try to contact TMG from your side?
