At Jabil Gdl, last week we detected material (250 pieces = 1 reel) of the component AMZ-100-00984, without the polarity mark based on the specification below.

Reviewing our stock, we detected two conditions in our inventory, the total is 3268 pieces with both conditions (mixed per reel).

Could you advise why TI is having / shipping both conditions in the same MPN?

Daniel,

Sorry I meant the top of the unit. The first pictures are of the underside of the BGA. The topside should have part # and a few extra characters. Those extra characters are what I'm looking for. IT should look something like this:

Hello Daniel,

I have feedback from our manufacturing team. This device has two substrate vendors (for continuity of supply purposes) and one vendor includes the marks and the other does not. We will update the datasheet to make that more clear.

Note that both chips have the proper A1 marker on the top of the metal lid.

Hi KCastille,

I have some concerns:

Both chips can be called with a different manufacturer part number due to the difference on the mark?

In order to set a purchase order, how can we order if we want to buy the chip with the mark (within spec)?

Could you advise what is the commitment date to change the drawing?

Due to this engineering change notice, this will affect the part number?
