AM625: Delete am6252 boot mode buffer

Part Number: AM625

hello.
As the title suggests, I would like to inquire whether it is possible to delete the bootmode buffer.
Shouldn't the bootmode signal be applied directly whenever the power is turned on?

The current circuit appears to be simply used to cut off the boot mode signal once AM6252 has completed booting.

There is a buffer in the EVM. I would like to inquire if it is possible to delete it.

Please reply.

  • You would only need the buffers if the bootmode signals are used on your board for other functions.  Since the bootmode signals are muxed with other pin functions, it is possible to connect these signals to other peripherals for use after boot.  In that case, the buffers would be used to isolate the bootmode signals so the peripheral would not conflict with the bootmode signal levels during boot.

    James

  • thank you

I removed it internally and booted without a problem.

We will delete it from the Custom Board.
