We are not recommending AM65 for new development , support is limited and software is maintenance mode. 

I recommend looking at DRA821 and if you have can live with 5 ports you can use AM64

Is your guide, which you don't recommend using for new development, limited to the AM65 series?

Is it okay for customers to use AM62, 64, 67 series, etc. for new development?

My customer need the display controller integrated. Hence DRA821 and AM64 can not meet their project requirement. 

Please recommend the appropriate part with Quad Port Gigabit Ethernet and MIPI-DSI or LVDS support.

How about DRA829V which does not include C7x DSP, Deep Learnig engine and VPAC subsystems, 

Morever the unit price of DRA829V seems be less than AM6548.

Absolutely no issues with supporting AM62/AM64/AM67 as for all of these active development and feature additions is on going and will continue.

Ok, yes if they need display/gpu + multiple ethernet ports, AM65 does have that unique mix.

Let me transfer this thread to DRA8x team to see if they have an alternative to recommend on this. I will continue to watch this thread. 

Additionally , would your customer consider a 2 chip like solution e.g AM62+ AM64 or AM62+ AM24?

Some customers see advantage in keeping HMI portion more flexible (support things like Android etc) , but it will be use-case dependent and there are not many high throughput interfaces for the 2 chip solution.

Hi Mukul.

Basically, customers prefer a single chip solution, but if the price is much different, we can recommend a multi-chip solution. For example, if it is difficult to control dual motors with AM6x, we can recommend a dual motor control solution by combining AM64x + AM24x, just as we can recommend a design by interlocking HMI Module + Quad Port Ethernet Module.

They need the display controller, hence AM64 is out of scope. 

DRA829VJ would be preferred in A72 line up.
