Hi,

We would like to know whether We can configure EVM Board(AM62B-P1) as Host device for USB. Kindly Confirm. If Yes could you please let me know the process to do the same. Our intension is to have file Transfer via USB from EVM Device to PC or any other Client.

Evaluation Board:- AM62B-P1

SDK:- PROCESSOR-SDK-LINUX-RT-AM62X — Processor SDK RT-Linux for AM62x Version: 09.02.01.09

Build Environment:- Yocto build environment

Hi Kumar,

Yes, Linux provides multiple USB class gadget drivers to communicate with USB host.

What USB protocol do you plan to use on AM62x with USB host?

We want to use AM62x as Host and PC or any USB Flash Device will act as client. We would like to know the process to configure AM62x as USB Host.

The EVM USB ports are already capable in host mode, you don't need to change anything in Linux.

When you attach a USB flash drive, it should get enumerated.
