AM625: gtk3-demo GLArea fail

Hi,

Is GTK using Desktop GL or OpenGLES? I am not familiar with gtk recipes but you may need to check what APIs are being using in the background.

Hi, here is the update.

I'm run gtk3-demo with $LIBGL_ALWAYS_SOFTWARE=1 ( always use software rendering )

And then It works !!

So the question might become "Is there anything missing that prevents hardware acceleration from being enabled?"

Also, I found five Direct Rendering Infrastructure (DRI) drivers under /usr/lib/dri：kms_swrast_dri.so、pvr_dri.so、swrast_dri.so、tidss_dri.so、virtio_gpu_dri.so. What are these things? And Which one is the "unsupported x11 GPU driver" you mean.

As far as I know, kms_swrast_dri.so and swrast_dri.so are only for software rendering, pvr_dri.so is provided by PowerVR, tidss_dri.so is provided by TI, virtio_gpu_dri.so is for virtual 3D GPU inside VM.

Hi,

Just to clarify, the link above is related to the open source software and there is a possibility of X11 support but we won't know until development is finished. Our GLES libraries do not support X11 and it has nothing to do with the libraries you listed above. The GPU drive we get from our GPU vendor only has support for GLES3.0.
