AM3352: Not able to flash AM3352 by using CCS UniFlash 3.4.1.00012

Hi,

I have installed CCS UniFlash 3.4.1.00012 in Windows 10 laptop.

I have followed the steps mentioned in the following link to flash AM3352 using Ethernet connection -

3.4.2. Flash Tools — Processor SDK Linux for AM335X Documentation

I do not see anything in "Status View" when I clicked "Start Flashing"

Questions -

1. CCS UniFlash 3.4.1.00012 supported in Windows 10 OS?

2. .bin or .out files can be flashed by using CCS UniFlash 3.4.1.00012?

3. If not, How to convert .bin/.out file into needed format?

Yes.

Yes.

Please note that this version of UniFlash is very old and unsupported.

Hi,

What I understood was the latest CCS UniFlash software version that can be used for flashing AM3352 is 3.4.1.00012. Newer versions don't support AM3352.

So, I have used latest software version to flash AM3352.

Hi,

Yes, Uniflash 3.4.1 is the latest version which supports AM335x devices.

The file format is irrelevant to Uniflash, you just need to ensure the binary is in the right format for the flash which the binary is written to.

Please ensure the board is to set to Ethernet boot mode, and Windows 10 Device Manager lists the board as a Ethernet device.

How to set board to Ethernet boot mode? Is this can be done by configuring boot mode pins of AM3352? Is there any documentation available?

Yes, the boot mode pins. Please review the AM335x device TRM initialization chapter.
