Tool/software:
HI,
We are exploring ways to achieve 360-degree coverage with night vision using multiple cameras on the AM68A via CSI-2.
We looked at the ARDCM-3P-V3LINK-CAM by ArduCam | TI.com, but it has a 62° FOV and no night vision support.
Questions:
What is the best approach to achieve 360-degree coverage with night vision on AM68A?
Any recommended camera modules (with wider FOV and night vision)?
Looking forward to your guidance. Thank you!
Hi,
What is the best approach to achieve 360-degree coverage with night vision on AM68A?
Because AM68A has two CSI header ports, up to 8 sensors when using two Arducam V3Link kits. V3Link supports IMX219 and IMX390 on AM68A.
Any recommended camera modules (with wider FOV and night vision)?
Take a look at the sensors that we currently support on this device. If these do not suit your needs, you can enable your own sensor. Do you have one in mind?

Are there any reference designs for multi-camera setups on AM68A?
Yes, take a look at the documents linked below.

HiFabiana Jaimes
Thank you for your valuable support,
I found that the Raspberry Pi Camera Module 3 (IMX708) meets our needs for both night vision and a 120-degree field of view. Could you please confirm if the Arducam V3Link kits support this camera module, specifically with the AM68A?
Hi noushadali k,
The Arducam V3Link board currently only supports IMX219 and IMX390 on AM68A. Although it seems to me that V3Link + IMX708 would work, I still recommend reaching out to Arducam to learn more about the compatibility between V3Link and IMX708 for comfirmation. Please keep in mind that IMX708 is not supported out-of-box, so you will need to enable this sensor on SK-AM68 yourself, but we will be able to support any questions you have in the process. All sensor specific questions should be directed to the vendor/manufacturer though.
Thank you,
Fabiana
Thank you for the clarification.
Since the Arducam V3Link board currently only supports IMX219, I wanted to confirm whether the following IMX219 variants with IR support are compatible with it:
Could you please confirm if these specific variants will work with the V3Link board?
Looking forward to your response.
Thank you,
Noushad
Hi Noushad,
These IMX219 IR variants have not been tested by us, so my answer falls along the same lines as my previous response.
The specific sensor models/variants that have been validated are linked in the "Ordering Info" column of the Supported Image Sensors EdgeAI table: https://software-dl.ti.com/jacinto7/esd/processor-sdk-rtos-j721s2/10_01_00_04/exports/docs/imaging/imaging_release_notes.html#ImageSensor_Support_EdgeAI
Thank you,
