DM368: Where is DVSDK 4.03

I'd also like to know this, so I'm giving this a bump.

But here is only 4.02 version, I didn't happen to come across 4.03 dvsdk for dm365/368.

Here you can make sure only two processors are supported by DVSDK  4.03:

Is this still the case? The latest points to just the dm3730 (or the OMAPL138)...

Have they stopped development on DM365/DM368 DVSDK? This would be SO unfortunate!

As I know the latest DVSDK supports both dm3730 and dm36x despite the fact that it is not mentioned explicitly. 

I downloaded, installed it (it installed as dvsdk_dm3730-evm-xxxx), but the Makefile has no references to DM36x (365 or 368). 

How do I configure this to build for DM368 instead?

Hmm, strange. It is abnormal because TI mentioned that there is DVSDK 4.03 for dm36x. The link leads to DVSDK for dm3730 that you installed. I heard that the point of this is that both processors are supported.

Then it turns out that it is not for dm36x.  

But why don't you use 4.02? It should be the same except compiler - you'll have to setup compiler separately.

I have a 4.03 "pre-release" that our supplier was able to obtain from TI.  It has a 2.6.37 kernel.

In terms of drivers, a lot of things happened between 2.6.32 and 2.6.37, and it can be significantly easier to port drivers.  It also has, I believe, a driver for the mt9p. 

Of course, the 2.6.37 kernel comes with some caveats.  A lot of the v4l2 elements are different, and some things in DMAI, such as Resize, are not the same at all.  

The main thing I want is the 2.6.37 (because of some wireless drivers that are available natively).

Any chance you know when they are going to release one for DM365/368?

As I can see the main point why you prefer 2.6.37 to 2.6.32 is mt9p driver. Otherwise you could definitely just use 2.6.32. By the way, the configuration file for building new kernel for DM36x that is included in DVSDK 4.02 is assigned to make 2.6.37 kernel.

Why do you think that mt9p driver is available only for 2.6.37? Actually DVSDK 4.02 version is not very old, so developers must have been able to work with mt9p previously somehow. 

By the way, 

it is not a very good idea to use the newest versions of TI drivers as Resizer or Previewer because there simply no documentation for them at all. There are pdf-s only for 2.10, not even 3.x!

Yes!  I was told that it would be available in two or three weeks.  Unfortunately, that was back in March.

You guys don't get it - there are other things in 2.6.37 that I need (i.e.: Wireless driver) - yes, there are some ways around it - but not easy. I can't take 2.6.37 and use the dvsdk 4.02. I don't think that the arago-console-image (or custom ones thereof) can include the newest linux kernel either. I am stuck between a rock and hard place?

I am in agreement with you.  I think that your best bet would be to talk to your FAE and see if they can get you a copy of the 4.03 pre-release to get you started with development.  I've been using this for a few months, with just a few bumps here and there.

Hi guys, so is there any release of the DVSDK 4.03 for the DM368 or that chip is obsolete?

I'm also stuck up sh*t creek with a DM368 and no support. I have a situation where gstreamer simply stops when asked to play both audio and video - like in any multiplexed container file. It just sits there. No error message or anything to debug. I'm grasping at straws. Upgrading the SDK was one last glimmer hope that has now also been brutally extinguished. Thanks for nothing TI.
