Is power (1V8) isolation is required between dm365 and DDR2.

I am using TMS320DM365 and DDR2 in my project, 1V8 (DDR_VDD) supply to IO pins of DDR2 in DM365 and to DDR2 should be isolated or it could be common for both. As DDR2 signals cannot be routed over a split in power plane of 1v8. because we have space constraints, So we can't able to achieve isolation as per the evaluation board(CPU_VDD isolated to DDR_VDD). If it should be isolated then please mention the reason.
