First of all hello. I'm new here.
I want connect to my dsk board 2 digital input signals, operate with it and send 2 new digital signal, so 2 inputs and 2 outputs. How i can do that? what connector is the best option?
Thanks,
Alex

Hello Alex,
Could you please elaborate more on your requirement ?

The type of connector for digital signal depends on the application. In general, you can use shrouded headers.

Hi, I'm Alex, I put a wrong email and I had to make a new account,
thanks for answering so fast,
when I put connectors i mean the baseboard ports, like HPI(J1) or external peripheral interface(J3).
I did some tutorials, but always use Line In to input and this isn't that i want.
thanks,
Alex
Hi
After reading a lot of documentation, I think that I can use EMIF port to receive and transmit my signals, My aplication, only need send controls bits, depending on the input signal.
My question is:
I need configure the EMIF port, I have read that I need configure to use EMIF functions, but I don’t want use this functions. If I need configure, how I do that? If I don’t need configure how I can use EMIF port, you have some tutorials or documentation?
thanks,
Alex
Hello Alex,
For connecting digital input/output, you can use unused GPIOs from HPI or external peripheral interface connector.
But make use, you have configured the unsed pins as GPIO because the unused pins might have been configured for some other interface.

Hello Alex,
What are you trying to do ?
The EMIF interface is meant for external memories. For simple digital input/output operations, why do you want to use EMIF rather than GPIOs.
I recommend you to use GPIO for digital operations.
Without proper configuration, you cannot use EMIF interface.

Hello Senthil,
OK! I will use GPIO, can you provide me some kind of documentation that explains how to configure GPIO?
Really thanks,
Alex
Hello Alex,
Please refer below GPIO reference guide.

Hello Senthil,
Thanks for everything, I'll try to do my project, maybe in a few days I'm here again :)
good bye!
