Hi.
Would you tell me the differences of the effect between the warm reset and the software reset triggered by RSCTRL register?
Like the warm reset, the software reset preserves data in the internal RAM and initializes the all internal logic to the default states?
Best regards,
Tsutomu Furuse
Hi Tsutomu,

Titus,
Thank you for the test. It will be of much help for me. But do you have a specification on the software reset?
Best regards,
Tsutomu Furuse
Titus,
Thank you very much for your reply.
Since my customer is designing a C674x board now, he is very interested in the device pin states at the software reset. The data sheet says "All device pins go to a high-impedance state" at the warm reset. Does it also happen at the software reset? Thanks.
Best regards,

Hello Tsutomu,
The Software reset (PLLC0 Reset Control Register (RSCTRL) SWRST bit) meant for software initiated reset- Need for security purpose.
This reset acts same like Warm reset, Internal memory retained (Not external memory) ,All other logic will get reset and the I/O’s are Hi-Z (Tri-Stated).
Hope this helps.

Senthil
