Hello all,
My customer currently uses 256Kb DDR2 and needs to upgrade it to 1Gb DDR2. He is addressing A0 to A14 + BA0 + BA1 + BA2.
Is it possible to extend it to 1Gb without HW modification? Is there any piece of SW which could help him?
Regards,
Raul Matos
Biser, there are a few errors in my previous post.
First, current memory is not 256Kb. Current memory is a 2Gb part from Micron:
MT47H128M16RT-25E:C
Configuration: 16Meg x 16 x 8 banks
Refresh Count: 8K
Row Address: A[13:0] (16K)
Bank Address: BA[2:0] (8)
Column Address: A[9:0] (1K)
They need to upgrade it to 1GB (8Gb) [not 1Gb as my previous post] without modifying HW:
