How to expand DDR address space up to 1Gb on AM35x

DDR2 is not connected on the GPMC interface. See section 6.4.2.2 in the AM35x Datasheet Rev. F for DDR2 design guidelines. We cannot say if this is possible without knowing their memory configuration.

Biser, there are a few errors in my previous post.

First, current memory is not 256Kb. Current memory is a 2Gb part from Micron:

MT47H128M16RT-25E:C

Configuration: 16Meg x 16 x 8 banks

Refresh Count: 8K

Row Address: A[13:0] (16K)

Bank Address: BA[2:0] (8)

Column Address: A[9:0] (1K)

They need to upgrade it to 1GB (8Gb) [not 1Gb as my previous post] without modifying HW:

Biser, i believe my customer hasn't find any pin to pin memory. So they might have to redesign the board.
They have found a memory which uses A15 in order to address 1GB. Is it possible to emulate A15 with a GPIO in AM3517?

Biser, is it possible to use 2 x 512MB SDRAM devices connected in parrallel? Do we support dual CS? Can A14 be used as CS for one of the devices?

If this is not possible, please give us recommendations on how to expand the memory.

Please check section 6.4.2.2 from the AM35x Datasheet Rev. F. All details and supported configurations are given there. An address pin cannot be used as chip-select.
