Hi,

I am new to OMAP-L138 LCDK kit. I am trying to build a project from scratch e.g., blinking LED using GPIO. I need step by step and kick start guide which can create a project in CCSv6, build, debug and emulate and program nand flash or boot from other sources like UART or SD Card etc.

I have done a lot of research on TI WIKI resources but all of the information available is scattered and no such proper guide for LCDK OMAP-L138 is available yet. Please its urgent.

It has a CCS guide, guides on how to boot the board, etc...

I have successfully run 'hello world' project. Now I am trying to Blink GPIO6[12] led. I need a sample project created using CCSv5 or later. That would easily help me to understand the basics of CCS. Furthermore, I am not interested any Linux application or SYSBIOS. My main objective is to interface external peripherals like UARTs, ADCs, DACs, etc. using ARM core and share the data recived from external peripherals to DSP core. thats it. If you can please help me with that. I tried OMAPL138 starterware examples. But somehow I am getting errors in adding the header files and C files provided in starterware.

Try referring to RTOS Software developers guide for setting up the CCS with starterware:
processors.wiki.ti.com/.../Processor_SDK_RTOS_Software_Developer_Guide

This is the closest guide, I know of. I am also notifying the starterware team to elaborate (NOTE: their feedback may be delayed due to Christmas holidays).

the starting point you expect from the software depends on what OS you plan to use or is this bare metal software that you are interested in :

HEre are the different software packages available and the features supported.

From your description, if you are planning to use Linux on the ARM then start with MCSDK 1.1 for this device. processors.wiki.ti.com/.../MCSDK_User_Guide_for_OMAPL138
For TI RTOS development on the DSP, you can choose BIOS PSP or MCSDK
If you plan to do bare-metal (no OS )developement then use Starterware. processors.wiki.ti.com/.../StarterWare
