Linux/DRA745: mmc3 is not getting probed on dra74xevm

Tool/software: Linux

In DRA7 evm, we are trying with mini SDCard in SDCard Adapter [MMC3,P4 in JAMR].
The kernel configuration has OMAP_MMC, but still mmc_omap_probe() is not getting invoked.
Also, we have enabled mmc3 in device tree.
Please let us know if we are missing anything.

We are using Processor SDK, Linux and latest version.(v3.4) in Spectrum Digital EVM.(www.spectrumdigital.com/.../)

MMC1 interface is of L3 clock domain but MMC3 and MMC4 are of L4 domain. For MMC4, the clock is changing only momentary after boot.But for MMC1, the clock probed is always on/changing.

Are we missing any Power management settings?

Hi Ramya,
You need to take care of a few things to use mmc3
1. Check pinmux configuration in u-boot
2. Add mmc3 device node in dts file
3. Check power supply to the card (connections on the board from PMIC to the card)
4. Add regulator node if misisng

Hi,

I am able to probe the WLAN with mmc4.

Did the following changes,
1) Manually enabled the WLAN_EN on TWL1200-Q1.
2) Did the following changes on dts file (dra7-evm.dts),
&mmc4 {
max-frequency = <1000000>;
wlcore: wlcore@2 {
compatible = "ti,wl1837";
reg = <2>;
interrupt-parent = <&gpio5>;
interrupts = <7 IRQ_TYPE_LEVEL_HIGH>;
};
};
