TMS320VC33: Maximum Junction Temperature Rating for the TMS320VC33PGEA120

I would like to inform you that TMS320VC33 is not recommended for new design product. TI recommends to replace it by TMS320C6748 – The device has SIMILAR FUNCTIONALITY but is not functionally equivalent to the compared device.
About your question - the data sheet lists recommended operating junction temperature range.

Hi Tsvetolin,
From what I see the datasheet only provides a case temperature.
I can use this value, but I don't know what the maximum power this component will dissipate.
Do you know this value?

The maximum displaced power can be calculated depending on ambient temperature as we know thermal resistance which is described in datasheet page 54:

RΘJA = 56 °C/W

Agreed, so if I use the 500mW to calculate my junction temperature the maximum junction temperature is only 102.5°C.
As the only temperature rating the datasheet provides is the case temperature, which is very different than an operating ambient temperature.
